Kibum's Pillow... Shindong

Friendship, light shounen-ai.

They all know that Kibum loves to sleep especially when he's tired, stressed or frustrated. All he had to do was close his eyes and then…ZZZzzz…but he has a new habit lately. It first happened during their dance practice and the time is around 2am.
Five minutes for water break. Kibum sat on the floor and leaned against the wall. He closed his eyes and instantly fell asleep. Then he could actually feel himself falling to one side but he just feels to tired to stop himself from falling. He doesn't really mind sleeping on the floor, anyway. But then he head landed on something soft. He didn't bother to find out what the thing beneath his head was as he continued sleeping.

It turns out to be Shindong's leg. Shindong was surprise when Kibum's head fell on his leg but he didn't bother to wake up the boy as he continued to talk with Sungmin and Eunhyuk. They didn't bother to lower down the volume of their voices because they know that when Kibum wants sleep, nothing can ever disturb him.

The five-minute break was almost over. Shindong shook Kibum on the shoulder lightly. Kibum woke up and immediately sat up, seemingly a bit embarrassed. "Sorry for sleeping on you." He rubbed his eye.

"It's ok. Just try to focus more on the dance and maybe the instructor will let you leave early." Shindong said as he stood up and went to his usual practice spot next to Eunhyuk.

The second time it happened was in the living room as they were all drinking and getting drunk. Kibum soon passed out and leaned on Shindong's side. Shindong was also drunk but he still has a state of mind to carry Kibum and place him on the bed…wrong bed though.

Kibum woke up and took some time to analyze his surroundings until he finally concluded that he was in Shindong's room. His head was on Shindong's back as Shindong slept in prone position. Their position was weird and Kibum's legs were dangling at the side of the bed while Shindong is sleeping right at the edge, almost falling but Kibum found it comfortable enough and went back to sleep. The next time he woke up, he already had a fluffy pillow on his head and tucked in a blanket with Shindong nowhere at sight. He knew that it must have been Shindong that tried to make him comfortable but he can't help but feel Shindong as a pillow was more comfortable.

The 3rd time was in the bus. He got a seat beside Shindong and in a few minutes, he fell asleep on Shindong's shoulder. From time to time, his sleep is disturbed because of a hump on the road or some loud voice that Heechul owns or someone else but he has no problem with the disturbances because he can easily drift back to sleep. But during those short moments he gains consciousness, he decided to make Shindong as his official pillow.

After that time, Kibum stopped counting the times he fell asleep on Shindong. They don't talk much and they're not even close friends but they did understand each other. Shindong knew that every time Kibum would stay beside him, it was to get some sleep. Kibum also knows when he shouldn't sleep on Shindong because Shindong would stay away from him.

"Kibum, why do you always sleep on me?" Shindong asked as he could feel Kibum leaning on his back and trying to get some quick sleep while waiting for the others to finish changing from their costumes to their casual clothes.

"If it bothers you, I'll stop." Kibum replied sleepily.

"It doesn't bother me. I'm just asking." But Shindong only got a soft snore as a reply.

The next time Kibum felt sleepy, he simply closed his eyes and stayed away from Shindong. But he only found it frustrating because he couldn't easily fall asleep as he could before. // I guess I got too dependent on Shindong so now, I couldn't sleep easily without him. // He was tired and he wanted a quick sleep before going out to shoot for a show.

"Can't sleep?" Shindong sat beside him and placed Kibum's head on his shoulder. "I don't mind being your pillow."

"Thanks, hyung but I don't want to bother you." Kibum tried to get away but he couldn't really move his head because Shindong still held it.

"You've been sleeping on me for quite some time and you just started thinking now that you're bothering me?" Shindong chuckled. "Well, it used to bother me but not anymore." He doesn't tell Kibum that his new hobby is watching Kibum sleep.

"If you say so~" Kibum made himself comfortable and went to dreamland.

Then they got busier. Kibum couldn't sleep as much as he could because of his full schedule and he couldn't see Shindong as much as before. Because he misses Shindong as his pillow, he started a new habit, which is sleeping on Shindong's bed when he's in the dorm.

Shindong found out about Kibum's new habit but he doesn't really mind sharing the bed. They don't usually wake up together and whoever wakes up first would leave for breakfast or work. They never talk about this new situation but the rest of the members forced them to talk anyway.

"Kibum likes sleeping on you and using you as a pillow…and that's it? You two are not in the relationship?" Eeteuk looked at Shindong and Kibum unbelievably.

Shindong nodded.

"Not yet anyway." Kibum added and all eyes turned to look at him. "What?" He raised an eyebrow at them as he took a sip of his coffee.

"Kibum, do you like Shindong?" Sungmin asked with a smile implying that he already knows the answer.

"I like him enough to sleep with him." Kibum replied and winked at Shindong.

Yesung choked on his own coffee. The rest looked surprised and shocked except Sungmin, who seem to know already due to intuition. Shindong blushed because they way Kibum said it implied that they're sleeping together…in a different manner.

"Aha! So you two are really sleeping together!!!" Heechul pointed a finger at Shindong accusingly.

"We're not like that!!! Kibum sleeps ON me, not WITH me and all we do is SLEEP!!!" Shindong emphasized and defended himself.

"Yeah but Kibum still likes you anyway." Sungmin says in a singsong voice. Then the rest of the members scattered as they went on with their work and usual activities leaving Shindong and Kibum in the kitchen.

"What was that all about?" Shindong asked Kibum.

"Nothing, really." Kibum smiled innocently and placed a kiss on Shindong's cheek before leaving the kitchen.

The words Sungmin said and the kiss Kibum left on his cheek was all Shindong could think about for the rest of the day and perhaps for the next few days to come.
