EunHae - Angel's Tip

Donghae was surprise to receive free coffee. There was a heart with the words 'I like you' written in chocolate syrup. He looked up at the waiter that placed it on his table. The waiter smiled and winked at him before going to another table to take deliver the other orders.

Sungmin snorted. "Don't take it too seriously. It's the guy's way of flirting and trying to get you to date. You're not the first person he did this. If you go out with him, you'll only be dating for a while. No commitment. Then he'll move on to another person." He knew about it because he's a regular customer in the coffee shop.

"Oh, okay." Donghae was a bit disappointed to hear this. He and Sungmin proceeded to do some school work because they are assigned to each other as research partners. It was Sungmin's idea for them to do school work together in the coffee shop because they live quite opposite to each other and it would be a long travel to go to either of their house.

After a few more minutes, "That's it for today. Thanks for the hard work, Donghae." Sungmin said as he closed his laptop and started to put his stuff in his bag. "I'll go first. See ya tomorrow at school."

"Okay, bye." Donghae was still putting his things in his bag when Sungmin left. He stood up and turned so abruptly that he almost bumped on the waiter.

It was the same waiter who gave him the free coffee. "Aren't you going to drink the coffee?" The waiter asked as he saw the cup, which was still full of coffee. It was probably just left cold, untouched, lying on the table.

"No but thanks for the effort. Sungmin sorta told me about you." Donghae smiled as he heard the waiter muttered under his breath something about Sungmin being an obstacle. "Besides, if you really like me, then you should have been able to observe me carefully like how I always order for hot choco and never coffee. I don't drink coffee." He chuckled at the look of shock on the waiter's face. He was also able to caught sight of the waiter's nameplate. "I'll see you around, Eunhyuk."

"I think Eunhyuk must really like you." Sungmin said as soon as they took their seats. When Donghae looked up at him with a confuse expression, Sungmin pointed at one of the waiters in the tea shop.

After the day Donghae was given free coffee, they changed their spot from the coffee shop to a tea shop so they are quite shock to suddenly see Eunhyuk as a waiter in the tea shop after not seeing him for a few days. They weren't able to order yet but Eunhyuk was already placing two cups of tea for them.

"Red tea for Sungmin because you used to have red tea with your grandparents when they were still alive. Chocolate tea for Donghae because you love chocolate. Do you want to order any desserts?" Eunhyuk asked as he took out a small pad of paper and ballpen.

"If you're doing all these to impress Donghae, I must say that you're succeeding." Sungmin said as he enjoyed drinking his red tea.

"You always have such a big mouth, Sungmin. I would hit your head if it wouldn't risk losing my job." Eunhyuk said before writing in their orders and leaving.

"You talk comfortably with Eunhyuk. I also notice that both of you know some things about each other. Are you two close?" Donghae asked.

"I was one of his victims." Sungmin said casually. "We dated a few times and became friends. That's all. There was no hard feelings. Maybe you should try dating Eunhyuk. As long as you don't take it to heart, it's quite fun. I wasn't like most of his victims who ended up heart broken and crying because they expected too much from Eunhyuk."

"EUNHYUK!!!" A very furious adult stomped his way towards Eunhyuk. "What were you thinking, working as a waiter in our rival's shop?!?!?!?! Come here, young man. You're going back to the coffee shop right this minute!!!" He pulled Eunhyuk by the ear and left the shop.

"That was Eunhyuk's dad, owner of the coffee shop where we used to do the research." Sungmin explained. "I guess I forgot to tell you that Eunhyuk is the owner's son. This tea shop, which is right across of the coffee shop is considered to be their rival."

Donghae felt guilty because he was probably the reason why Eunhyuk took a job in their rival's shop. "Tomorrow, we should go back to do our research in the coffee shop. I don't want to cause any more trouble for Eunhyuk."

For the rest of the afternoon and night, Eunhyuk continued working in the coffee shop. His dad didn't let him off until it was 10pm. His dad would have let him work all night since the shop is open 24 hours but Eunhyuk has school tomorrow. Eunhyuk was surprise to see Donghae waiting for him at the backdoor of the shop.

"What the heck? You shouldn't have waited for me. It's cold out here." Eunhyuk took off his scarf and placed it on Donghae. "I would take you in the coffee shop if my dad wasn't mad at me. Let me take you somewhere place warm."

Donghae smiled at Eunhyuk's kind gesture. He hadn't realized how cold he was until Eunhyuk grabbed his hand. Eunhyuk's hand felt warm and comfortable. "You don't have to take me somewhere else. I'm just here because I wanted to apologize to you properly."

"What the heck are you apologizing for?!?! It wasn't your fault. I invited trouble for myself."

"But if I hadn't changed the research spot…"

"Stop blaming yourself."

Before Donghae realized it, they arrived in a bar. "We shouldn't be here." Donghae whispered as he tugged Eunhyuk's hand. "We're both underage."

"Don't worry, this place is owned by my uncle. As long as we don't make any trouble, then it's okay." Eunhyuk lead Donghae to a dark corner so they can be barely seen by the other customers. "Wait here. I'll get us something to drink."

"Um…I don't drink alcohol." Donghae said as Eunhyuk placed a drink before him.

"It's called Amaretto Alexander. It's just one glass. It won't get you drunk. Besides, it has some chocolate in it. You like chocolate right?" Eunhyuk said and pushed the glass towards Donghae. "I assure you. I didn't put anything weird in it."

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to try." Donghae took a sip. "It's tasty. What about yours? What are you drinking?"

"It's called Angel's Tip but in Japan, they call it Angel's Kiss." Eunhyuk dripped the cherry on his drink. The liquid moved and formed something that looked like lips.

"Wow!" Donghae stared in amazement. "I didn't think drinking can be quite interesting. Can we do this again some other time?"

"In my vocabulary, that would mean dating."

"Oh…um…"

"Never mind what I said." Eunhyuk downed his drink in one go. "Don't come to the coffee shop tomorrow or the days after that."

"Why not?"

"Because I might seriously like you."

"What's wrong with liking me seriously?"

Eunhyuk stared at the innocent, clueless yet cute guy. "Just finish your drink so I can take you home."

"Okay." Donghae quickly finished his drink.

"Eunhyuk said that?!?!" Sungmin asked in shock. "I'm sure he seriously likes you already!!!"

"I wouldn't believe him if I were you." Kibum joined their conversation. "Eunhyuk is currently dating Hyoyeon, a year below us in this school and also Yesung, a popular guy, singer in a band at another school."

"But there's a recent update!" Heechul announced as he also joined in the conversation. "He stopped dating Hyoyeon a few days ago. Probably some time after meeting Donghae. Then yesterday, he rejected Yesung who wanted to go on a date."

"Like I said, I'm sure he likes Donghae seriously and in a different way." Sungmin said.

"But it doesn't make sense. Why would he want me to stay away from him if he likes me?" Donghae said with a confuse expression. He also looked like as if he was in deep thought.

"Because Eunhyuk doesn't want to change but you, Donghae, have the ability to change him." Kibum explained.

"I told you not to come here." Eunhyuk said as he approach Donghae and Sungmin's table.

"Geez! Stop pretending, Eunhyuk. I'm sure you're very happy to see Donghae again." Sungmin said with a huge smile on his face.

"I wanted to give this back to you." Donghae handed the scarf to Eunhyuk, who simply grabbed the item and left. He assigned another waiter to attend to their needs. Donghae pouted. "Why is he suddenly being so cold?"

"Try talking to him later. I'm sure he can't remain that cold towards you. After all, you earned your cute charms by hanging out with a cute friend like me! Let's do this research so we can finish off early then you can go and talk to him." Sungmin started typing on his laptop furiously.

"You waited for me again. You're so stubborn." Eunhyuk sighed as he removed his scarf and placed it around Donghae again.

"You wouldn't talk to me inside the shop so I decided to wait for you here." It was the same spot that Donghae stood yesterday.

"What do you want from me?"

"Isn't it you who actually want something from me?"

Eunhyuk's eyebrow twitched as Donghae reversed his question but it's the truth. "I give up. You're just so…"

"So…?"

"…cute."

"Um…thanks."

Awkward. Silence.

"I really don't know what to do when I'm with you." Eunhyuk admitted. "You're just so different, so innocent. I don't want to taint that innocence. It makes me feel like I'm a criminal or something."

"I really don't understand you either. Everything about you is confusing." Donghae retorted. He took Eunhyuk's hand and placed it on his heart. "You make my heart confuse too. I never felt this way before. I'm sure it's not just a simple crush."

"So what do you want us to do?"

"Um…go on a date?"

"You are quite aware that I tend to date more than just one person, right?" Eunhyuk reminded.

"If you seriously like me, then you wouldn't do that." Donghae's eyes reflected trust. "Besides, I heard that you stopped dating Hyoyeon and that you rejected Yesung. I wonder…could it be because you've met me?" He asked innocently.

"Maybe." Eunhyuk chuckled. He may have dated a lot of people but he had never been in a relationship before. He had a feeling that Donghae might be his first boyfriend and that they were probably going to last for a long time. "Let's go drinking. I bet you wanted to try the Angel's Kiss."

"Yeah and I wanted another thing to try too."

"What's that?"

"Eunhyuk's kiss."

A/N:  I got inspired from an anime Bartender.  It showed a different alcoholic drink each episode with their respective stories and I'm particularly interested in this Angel's Tip / Angel's Kiss.  Comments please?
